Avocado Salad with Southern BBQ Vinaigrette - Phickles

We've always used this Vinaigrette with a black bean & corn salad but after trying it with this fresh salad....we think there are just no limits to what this salad dressing can add the perfect zing to!  


Our local Publix supermarket has organic butter lettuce in stock now which adds a good crunch to this salad. We found perfect Hass avocados and sweet Campari tomatoes at The Fresh Market and the onions are Vidalias that we found at Bell's Food Store here in Athens.....yes, please!

 Here's the recipe: 



1 cup Olive Oil

1/3 cup Phickles Moppin' Sauce

2 teaspoons Honey

That's it! Just whisk the 3 ingredients together & store in a mason jar for up to 2 weeks in the refrigerator.  


We covered our platter with the Butter Lettuce then added sliced tomato, sliced avocado, sliced Vidalia onion (bulb part and stems.) Next we sprinkled shredded cheddar cheese and fresh cilantro on top.

When you're ready to serve...just drizzle on the vinaigrette and it's ready!
